Roy Díaz González

Roy Díaz González (* 1953 ) is a former Mexican badminton player . He is the greatest talent that the Mexican badminton sport has produced so far.

Career

Roy Díaz González won his first Mexican title at the age of 14. Shortly afterwards he won the Belgium International men's doubles match with Lee Kin Tat from Singapore. At the age of 16 he was already successful at the Swiss Open, where he won both singles and doubles with Hermann Fröhlich . In 1974 he won single and mixed titles there again. In 1977 he became the Pan American champion. At the Badminton World Cup in 1985 , he was placed in the top 32.
