Royal Aeronautical Society
The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) (German: " Royal Aeronautical Society ") is a worldwide institution, dedicated to the versatile aspects of aviation and aerospace busy. It was founded on January 12, 1866 and is the world's oldest institution of its kind. All services, activities and products of global civil and military aerospace are represented in the RAeS. The organization is headquartered in London .

The RAeS is divided into branches and divisions.
Branch
They provide a global platform for the dissemination of aerospace information. There is a global network of 63 affiliates. These offer regional and local events for their members. In Germany there is a branch of this organization in Munich.
Divisions
Divisions are superior to the subsidiary companies. They exist in countries and regions that have a large number of affiliates. Divisions operate with a large degree of autonomy and are responsible for the branch network, conferences and courses. There is one division each in England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa.

The RAeS publishes three monthly journals:

membership
Anyone who is professionally or privately involved in aerospace can join the RAeS. The association has different levels of membership, which correspond to the professional qualifications of the member. It is also possible for companies to become members of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Over 100 companies have joined the association.
