The house Rua das Chagas, n.º 20 is a residential building in the center of the Portuguese capital Lisbon .

It is located in the municipality of Misericórdia , on a corner at the confluence of Rua da Horta Sêca with Rua das Chagas. After the Câmara Municipal (City Council) of Lisbon had approved the building application from the owner of the site, João Ferreira Gonçalves, the house was built from 1888 by the engineer Ressano Garcia.

In the entrance area of ​​the six-story building there is an oval lobby with elements made of wood and iron as well as stained glass .

A plaque on the facade commemorates the painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva (1908–1992), who was born in this house.

The house is registered in the Inventário Municipal de Património .
