Rusuccuru

Rusuccuru (also Rusucurum , Oppidum Ascurum , ancient Greek Ρουσουκκὁρου ) is the name of an ancient city in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis . It corresponds to today's city of Dellys in the Boumerdes province in the north of Algeria , but according to other information it corresponds to the city ​​of Tigzirt to the west .

Rusuccuru was a bishopric in late antiquity, and the titular diocese of Rusuccuru goes back to this.
