Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer is a shoot-'em-up game for PCs and PlayStation 3 developed by the German development team SideQuest Studios . The project was distributed and financed by eastasiasoft , a newly founded video game publisher from Hong Kong. It was released for PC on December 14, 2007. Almost a year later, on December 4, 2008, Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer was also released as a paid download game on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 .
Mercenary X is a classic 2D shoot-'em-up game with a total of 14 game levels. It can be played in 720p resolution and contains extremely detailed graphic effects.
The game received generally good ratings from the trade press, with the well-known website IGN.com giving it 8.0 out of 10 points.
According to the game's official website, a successor is already being planned.
