The Süleymaniye Mosque ( Turkish : Süleymaniye Camii ) is a mosque on Kingsland Road in the London district of Hackney , which is mainly used by the Turkish community there. The mosque was funded by the UK Turkish Islamic Cultural Center . Construction began in 1995 and was cleared in October 1999. The architect in charge was Osman Sahan. The floor area of ​​the six-story building is 8,000 m². The mosque can accommodate up to 3000 people.

The building includes a conference and wedding hall, guest rooms, classrooms, funeral services and accommodation for the staff. An in-house restaurant opens after Friday prayers.

Prince Charles visited the mosque in September 2001 after meeting friends and colleagues from those who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center .
