SC Viktoria XXI

The SC Viktoria XXI was an Austrian football club from the Viennese district Floridsdorf , also called Vienna XXI for short. At its most successful time, the club played from 1926 to 1932 for a total of six seasons in the II. League.

history

The SC Viktoria XXI joined the championship after the First World War . The club experienced a rapid rise, in 1924 in the fifth class, 3rd amateur class East, they took part in the professional II. League for the first time in 1926/27 . The club was initially mostly at the bottom of the table, but was not involved in the relegation battle with veterans like Willibald Steskal and young talents like Josef Lebeda in the team. The season 1930/31 , in which the fourth of fifteen places was won, blossomed into the best second division season . At that time, SC Viktoria XXI was based in Jedlesee on Hopfengasse, a sports field that was taken over by Admira in 1933 and expanded into a stadium. Viktoria, however, surprisingly suffered relegation from the second division in 1931/32 . The club was then in the top amateur class, but during the Second World War , the game was stopped.
