The SERO PumpSystems Group is a manufacturer of pump systems. The group is the successor to the Berliner Pumpenfabrik AG founded by Max Brandenburg in Berlin in 1894 . In 1949, because of the Berlin blockade , the SERO Pumpenfabrik GmbH was established in Düsseldorf , and in 1959 it moved to Meckesheim . SERO was the trademark of the Berliner Pumpenfabrik for the side channel pump , which became part of the company name (company). Since the 1920s, SERO has played a key role in the development of side channel pump technology and has focused on this niche product.

SERO is a medium-sized, owner-managed group of companies. According to its own information, it has around 50 employees and operates worldwide through independent pump partners.
