SHA-1 Collision Search Graz was a project for distributed computing by the IAIK of the Graz University of Technology with the aim of finding SHA-1 collisions.
Project
The BOINC software was used as the platform . The client , which could run under Microsoft Windows 98 or higher with an X86 processor or under Linux with x86, AMD64 or Intel 64 , downloaded so-called work units from the server , which it calculated in the background. He sent the results to the server.
After almost two years, the project was terminated on May 12, 2009 due to insufficient progress.
