The WPK-3924 ( Russian Медведь Medwed, "Bear" ) is a Russian armored car. It was specially developed for the Russian Ministry of the Interior and is to replace the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier there. The vehicle is manufactured by the Military Industrial Company ( Russian Военно-промышленная компания , WPK).
Technology and equipment
The vehicle is intended for use by military and civil security units within Russia. It was first presented at Interpolitex 2001 in Moscow.
The WPK-3924 is equipped with a 4 × 4 all-wheel drive. The vehicle is armored against mines.
