SUBSIS stands for Subsea Separation and Injection System . This is a fully automatic production platform at a depth of 1200 m from Asea Brown Boveri . This remote-controlled system is placed on top of an existing borehole and then pumps oil from the seabed. It also separates oil and gas from water.
