history
The club was founded in 1919 as Spielverein Atsch . In 1935 the club merged with the company sports group of the Aktien-Spinnerei-Aachen to form SV ASA Atsch . After a few years the name was changed to SV Viktoria Atsch before the club returned to its current name in 1953. Sometimes the club is also called as SV ASA Stolberg-Atsch .
In 1936 the Atscher qualified for the Tschammer Cup and had to compete in the first round at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . Oberhausen won the game with a clear 7-0. After the end of the war , the Atschern succeeded in being promoted to the district class in 1949, from which the team was relegated three years later. In the following decades, the team did not get beyond the local league and fell down to the lowest division, the district league C.
