history

In 1909 the club was founded as MTV Lindow, but it wasn't until 1920 that a football department was added. In 1933 the association was banned and so it had to be dissolved. The footballers then joined the Lindower SSV. 13 years later (1946) SG Lindow was re-established. Later (1949) there was a merger with SG Finkenheerd to become Industrie SG Lindow-Finkenheerd. In 1949 there was another renaming. From now on the association was called ZSG Glückauf Lindow-Finkenheerd, a few months later BSG Glückauf Lindow-Finkenheerd, only one year later (1950) BSG activist Lindow-Finkenheerd. In 1954, Groß Lindow split off from Finkenheerd and henceforth called SG Groß Lindow. 1959 came the penultimate renaming to BSG Traktor Groß Lindow. In 1990 the club was finally renamed SV Blau-Weiß Groß Lindow 1909. The club was one of the founders of the East Brandenburg regional class and remained there until it was relegated to the Oder-Neisse regional league in 2008, which is now the Ostbrandenburg regional league.
