Sabrina Harman (born January 5, 1978 in Lorton , Virginia ) is a former American soldier .

Harman was a key figure in the Abu Ghuraib torture scandal . Together with Lynndie England and Charles Graner , she was involved in the torture and humiliation of inmates in Abu Ghuraib prison . She had herself photographed several times. The photos went public and sparked a wave of indignation. Among other things, she was in a photo with the body of the Iraqi Manadel al-Jamadi. This had been tortured to death by Americans and Harman had posed grinning over him.

Because of their violations of human rights , the soldier was from the Army discharged and sentenced to six months in prison. She has now been released.
