Sachsenkniffel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sachsenkniffel is a dice game . It only reminds of Kniffel in name .

preparation

Each player is assigned a playing field. The playing field has six columns and twelve rows. The first field goes to the player sitting to the left of the scribe. The allocation then continues in a clockwise direction.

Rules of the game

The players take turns tossing the dice, each player being allowed to do a maximum of three throws per round. There are six dice with numbers 1 to 6. The aim of the game is to be the first to have completely rolled the numbers from 1 to 12 six times. The score is recorded for each player in his playing field, in which a cross is entered for each number. Starting with the number 7, the number of points of exactly two dice is added up.

The player must first always play with all the dice, but after one of his three throws (after which, he is free to decide) on a certain number. To do this, he pushes aside the dice with which he has already achieved this number and rolls the remaining dice (if he still has throws left). If the same number was then scored again with other dice, these are also set aside and may not be used in the next throw. When you have decided on a number, this decision is final for the respective round.

If all dice of a round (or a single throw) are usable for the desired number or if this number has been achieved six times after the round or the throw and is therefore no longer necessary, the player has another turn for three throws. If you no longer need the number after the throw, it does not matter whether you do not need the number as often as it is available.

If two or more players are finished in the same round, the second throw with two dice decides; the higher number wins. The re-throw may be necessary several times if the same number of pips occur. If there are more than two players, only those who are tied will roll again.

variants

  • The reroll is only made with one die.
  • If the player decides on a number, but does not roll this number with the remaining dice, the round expires; the player has "pinched".
