Salim I (Anjouan)

Salim I of Anjouan (born around 1707; died around 1741, “la grenade du paradis” - “The pomegranate of paradise”) was Sultan of Anjouan from around 1711 until his death. He intrigued to appoint a man as Sultan of Mayotte whom he thought fit. In 1727 Salimou ben Mwé Fani was succeeded Aboubakar ben Omar Sultan of Mayotte.

His successor was Said Ahmed lui succède.
