Salim Rubai Ali
Salim Rubai Ali ( Arabic سالم ربيع علي, DMG Sālim Rubaiʿ ʿAlī ; * 1934 ; † June 26, 1978 ) was a Yemeni politician and, as Chairman of the Presidential Council of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, President of South Yemen (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen).
biography
After the dismissal of Qahtan Muhammad al-Shaabi , he became President of South Yemen on June 23, 1969 as Chairman of the Presidential Council of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen). As such, he headed a left-wing socialist government under the Yemeni Socialist Party . On June 26, 1978, he was overthrown by Ali Nasir Muhammad and then executed .
