The Salzburger Fenster is a free newspaper founded in 1979 by the Salzburg journalism student Erich Ebner . The newspaper initially appeared monthly, then fortnightly and now 36 times a year. The Salzburger Fenster is currently part of the Salzburger Nachrichten media group. The Austrian media analysis published in 2019 (MA 2018) confirms that the Salzburg window has a readership of 113,000 in the state of Salzburg (LpA). Each issue also appears as a free e-paper on the Salzburger Nachrichten APP.
