Salt Road (Lueneburg)

The Salzstraße is a street in the Lower Saxony city of Lüneburg .

location

The Salzstraße is located in the old town of Lüneburg. It runs in a north-south direction and has a length of about 170 meters. In the north it turns into the street Neue Sülze at the corner of Grapengießerstraße , in the south at the intersection Heiligen-Geist-Straße it becomes the street Bei der St. Lambertikirche . The salt road is thus part of the connection between town hall and salt works. The street is a one-way street from the north.

The Salt Road should not be confused with the Salt Road on the water .

history

A "soltstrate" is mentioned as early as 1437.
