The compendium and reference work of the case law of the Federal Administrative Court is an unofficial compilation of the case law of the German Federal Administrative Court . It is issued by its judges, but not in their official capacity, but in their capacity as private persons. After its founder, the federal administrative judge Karl Buchholz , the collection is often referred to as Buchholz for short .

The collection was founded in 1957 by Karl Buchholz and has been published periodically since then. In terms of content, the collection is divided into the areas of state and constitution (1), public service (2), procedural law (3), the material law of the individual administrative branches (4), equalization of burdens (5) and defense (6); there are also indexes for keywords, reference numbers and time sequence. There are further subdivisions within the areas, such as the Courts Constitution Act (300), the Administrative Court Code (310) or the Administrative Procedure Act (316).

In addition to the subject areas, the individual court decisions are also numbered.
