Velvet laying

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The velvet lay-up is a warp knitting lay-up that is similar to the satin lay-up .

Deviating from the satin laying, it is done with a mesh laying modified by at least one needle pitch. In connection with the fringe, a basic type of warp knitting, in which each thread is always placed on the same needle, a knitted fabric is created with particularly high transverse and longitudinal stability.
