Satin laying

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The satin weave is a weave of warp knitting .

Here, the threads on the warp knitting machine are laid sideways over at least two machine rods and back. One side of the fabric shows the right, the other left stitch. The left stitches are partially covered by the threads. Because of the high material consumption compared to the tricot lapping it is einbarrig only of minor importance.
