Samuel Hopkinson

Samuel "Sam" Hopkinson (* in Christchurch , Canterbury ) is a New Zealand polo player with a handicap of 6.

In the film trilogy The Lord of the Rings , he doubled the actor Viggo Mortensen in riding scenes . In 2009 Vanity Fair magazine named him among the ten best polo players in the world.

He won the Savile Cup and the New Zealand Open .
