Samuel Tourneux

Samuel Tourneux (born July 6, 1973 ) is a French animation director and animator .

In 1997 he made his diploma film Vache folle ("Crazy Cow") and at the same time his first animated short film, with which he attracted wider attention. This music video for a song by The Divine Comedy , which tells of a cow going mad, won awards at several smaller film festivals.

After a few commercials, he released the eight-minute cartoon Même les pigeons vont au paradis (“Even pigeons go to heaven”) in 2007 , in which a priest tries to turn an old man on a machine that is supposed to lead to heaven. The film won several prizes, including the Prix ​​junior du meilleur court métrage at the Festival d'Animation Annecy , and was nominated for " best animated short film " at the 2008 Academy Awards.
