Samurize is a system-observation program (System Monitoring ) and an extension for the user interface in Windows from Windows 2000th

Origin and use

The software, which was actually intended as the Windows counterpart to Konfabulator , was originally programmed by the brothers Gustaf and Oscar Lundh from Sweden. Over time, not only has the programmer changed several times, but the software has also evolved into an independent system, independent of the Konfabulator.

The software is often used by administrators from the IT industry for system monitoring, but is also very popular for overclocking to control system values such as processor clock rates or fan speeds. Samurize is also being used more and more frequently in the desktop modding area because of the many options it offers to completely redesign the Windows interface.

Working method

A WYSIWYG editor belonging to the software can be used, partly through implemented functions, partly with the aid of program add-ons (so-called plug-ins ), to compile and graphically enhance a large amount of information for viewing on the user interface. Starting with system values such as CPU speed, available or used storage space on the hard disk and fan speeds, to general information such as weather or TV programs. The information created in this way is saved in configuration files and displayed on the desktop via a multiple executable client program . Configurations created by other users can also be used. An import / export program is included with the software.

future

Samurize has not been developed since 2007, the future of the project is unclear. The program as well as configurations created by users are still available on the manufacturer's side.
