Sanâa Alaoui (* in Casablanca , Morocco ) is a Moroccan actress .

Life

Sanâa Alaoui was sent to dance classes by her parents at the age of four and began performing in commercials at the age of 15. In the mid-1990s she moved to Paris , where she quickly made contact with the local advertising and film industry. In 2000, the young artist took acting lessons and enrolled at the private drama school Cours Florent . At the same time (2000/01) she also played a little theater (in the plays L'usure du couple and Éveil et la fiancée des landes ). At the beginning of the new century, Sanâa Alaoui began to film regularly.

She played supporting and several leading roles in French and foreign productions. In Germany she was presented to a wide audience in April 2012 with the lead role in the 2010 ZDF film Fischer fisch Frau . In this culture shock comedy, Sanâa Alaoui embodied "Mona", a young Moroccan shrimp pulver who falls in love with a German shrimp fisherman who is looking for a bride in Morocco and follows him to his home in East Frisia . Sanâa Alaoui, who does not speak German, learned her text spoken in German purely phonetically.

Awards

For her performance in the film La beauté éparpillé , Sanâa Alaoui was awarded first prize for best actress at the Tangier National Film Festival . In 2009 the actress received a "New Talent" award at the Medfilm Festival in Rome .
