Fictional flag of San Escobar

San Escobar is a non-existent state, based on a verbal blunder by the Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski .

On January 10, 2017, Waszczykowski told reporters that he was conducting exploratory talks with numerous representatives from various states in the course of an application for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council . Including some Caribbean states, such as Belize or San Escobar, with which Poland has never come into contact in its diplomatic history. The statement received a large, mostly malicious echo in the network community.
