Sanada Yukimura
Sanada Yukimura ( Japanese 真 田 幸 村 ; actually Sanada Nobushige , Japanese 真 田 信 繁 ; * around 1567–1570 in Japan ; † June 3, 1615 in Osaka , Honshū , Japan) was a samurai of the Azuchi-Momoyama and early Edo periods . Sanada gained notoriety for his role as a troop leader of the defenders in the siege of Osaka 1614/15, at the end of which he fell in the battle of Tennōji .
