A Sanfona is a small button-handle accordion, usually with eight bass buttons, which is native to Brazil and belongs in particular to the musical styles of northeastern Brazil, especially the Forró and Baião . The Sanfona is related to the accordion and the concertina .

The most popular Sanfona in Brazil, the one with eight bass buttons, is popularly known as the goat neck (pescoço de cabra) or toy harmonica .

Great masters of the Sanfona game are / were Luiz Gonzaga , Heleno dos Oito Baixos and Duda da Passira .
