The sangut or tuba knife is a weapon and tool from the Philippines .
description
The sangut has a straight, single-edged blade with a straight edge and a strongly curved back. The blade is flat, has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The tang and the hilt are bent slightly downwards from the blade. The scabbards are carved from wood and open on one side as a whole. The knife is held in place in the sheath by a protruding lower edge and an upper edge. The Sangut is used by the Moro ethnic group .
