Sanofi-Synthélabo
The company Sanofi ~ Synthélabo was a French pharmaceutical group .
It was created in 1999 from the merger of Sanofi (previously part of the Elf Aquitaine oil company ) and Synthélabo , which was part of the l'Oréal cosmetics group .
In 2004 the company took over competitor Aventis . The new group name has since been Sanofi-Aventis , today the company is again active under the name Sanofi .
