San Michele in Sassia ( Latin : Sancti Michaelis in Saxia ), also called Santi Michele e Magno or Friesenkirche (nl: Friezenkerk), is a church in Rome at Borgo Santo Spirito 41, opposite St. Peter's Square .

The Church of the Frisians in Rome dates from the 9th century and was rebuilt in the 13th century and provided with a campanile . From 1756 to 1759 the church was converted into a three-aisled pillar basilica. In the left aisle there is the grave of the painter Anton Raphael Mengs .
