Santiago de Figueiró is a place and a former municipality in northwest Portugal .
Santiago de Figueiró belongs to the Amarante district in the Porto district . The municipality had an area of 3.8 km² and 2488 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
Santiago de Figueiró is a twin town of La Rochelle , France .
On September 29, 2013 the municipalities of Figueiró (Santiago) and Figueiró (Santa Cristina) were merged to form the new municipality União das Freguesias de Figueiró (Santiago e Santa Cristina) . Figueiró (Santiago) is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
