Sarah Ann

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sarah Ann is the name of a phantom island that was sighted near Easter Island and recorded on various nautical charts.

Since the coordinates of the island would lie in the range of the total solar eclipse of June 8, 1937, several ships of the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy searched for Sarah Ann for a few weeks in 1932 . As they were unsuccessful, the island was removed from the nautical charts in 1932.
