Sarov monastery
The Sarower Monastery is a monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church in Sarov .
The monastery was founded in 1706 and was closed from 1927 until it reopened in 2006.
Due to the status of Sarov as a closed city , the monastery cannot be visited by pilgrims or tourists.
