Sassi is the name of a 146 meter long large yacht . The ship was built on the Lürssen floating dock in Vegesack . Completion was planned for autumn 2018. On September 13, 2018 at around 2 a.m., a fire broke out in the 220-meter-long covered floating dock. The total damage is assumed to be more than half a billion euros. In December 2018, the damaged floating dock with the Sassi arrived at Blohm + Voss in Hamburg . There the yacht was removed from the dock in the Elbe 17 dry dock. The floatable Sassi then lay at Blohm + Voss in Hamburg. The Sassi was later re-docked in the Elbe 17 dry dock, where it was scrapped until July 2019.
