Satoshi Yagisawa

Satoshi Yagisawa ( Japanese 八木澤教司 , Yagisawa Satoshi * 3. April 1975 in Tokyo , Japan ) is a Japanese composer .

Life

He studied at the Musashino Academia Musicae , where he also took the master's courses and graduated with a Master of Music. He then worked in music research for two years.

His work is varied and includes orchestral music, chamber music, choral music and music for traditional Japanese instruments. His compositions for wind instruments, the titles of which mostly contain a brief description, are written in a dramatic tonal language. He is also active as a juror at competitions, as a guest conductor with numerous orchestras and as the author of articles in professional journals ( The Flute, The Clarinet, The Sax ). In 2003 he arranged the theme of music for the 54th National Arbor Day in the Prefecture of Chiba : Music for planting and sowing by the Emperor and Empress of Japan .
