The Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel is a historically significant four-star hotel in Bandung , Indonesia .

history

The building was built from February 1937 to the end of 1939 and designed by the Dutch architect Albert Aalbers in the Art Deco style. As a new building on the property on Afrika-Asia Strasse , it replaced the previous Homann Hotel, which had gradually developed from the original home of the Homann family from Germany from 1871–72. During the first Afro-Asiatic Conference from April 18 to 24, 1955, heads of state such as Sukarno , Gamal Abdel Nasser , Hồ Chí Minh and Jawaharlal Nehru made guest appearances at the Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel .
