The Savoyard bell [ savwaˈjaʁd ] in the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre in Paris is the largest bell in France . It was cast in 1895 by the Paccard bell foundry in Annecy-le-Vieux . To this day it is one of the largest bells in the world. It weighs 18,835 kg and has a diameter of 3.06 m, with a base thickness of 22 cm. The strike note is c sharp 0 . The clapper weighs 850 kg and it hangs on a bent yoke .

The Savoyard was donated to the national votive church Sacré-Cœur by the four dioceses of Savoy , hence its name.
