Schützengesellschaft Coburg 1354 eV ( called SG Coburg in the Bundesliga ) is a shooting club from Coburg that was founded in 1354.

The shooting society was founded on April 16, 1354 in Coburg.

“We, Friedlich der Strictness, Margrave of Meissen, confess that Kunz Ecker, the shooter, should sit on our house in Coburg and live there too. He is supposed to deliver four good Birsch (hunting) or war crossbows to us or our Vogt of Coburg for our benefit. These should be purchased from us or our Vogt. As a reward, he is to receive ten and a half pounds of Heller annually as a salary from the income from our Coburg city customs. This document should be legally binding. - Given at Gotha on the Wednesday of Easter week 1354 "

The Coburger Schützengesellschaft has been organizing the Coburg bird shooting since around 1599 .

In 2008 and 2009 the air rifle team became German champions in the 1st Bundesliga . In 2010 the team took 2nd place.
