The ski jump Merzhausen is a hill fort on the northern slope of the mountain south of the teaching Usinger district Merzhausen in Hochtaunus . It has the shape of an open trapezoid. The wall on the western side is about 30 meters long, the wall on the east side about 15 meters and the south wall about 10 meters. A small moat is in front of all ramparts. The facility is difficult to access due to its location in a thick thicket.

The timing is unclear. Because of the shape it could be a gun emplacement.

Monument protection

The area of ​​the ramparts is a ground monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act . Investigations and targeted collection of finds are subject to approval, and accidental finds are reported to the monument authorities.
