Shelemia

Shelemia ( Hebrew שֶׁלֶמְיָה) is a male personal name . The Bible mentions four people of that name:

  • two Jewish returnees from Babylon , descendants of Binnui ( Ezra 10.39  EU ) and Sakkai ( Ezra 10.41  EU ), who had to expel their foreign wives at Ezra's behest ,
  • the son of Hananiah ( Jer 37.13  EU ) / Abdel ( Jer 36.26  EU ); Father of Juchal or Jehuchal (mentioned Jer 37.3  EU ; Jer 38.1  EU ).
  • Hananiah's father . He is mentioned once in the Bible ( Neh 3,30  EU ).
