Scissor trap

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A scissor trap is a scissor-like club trap that is used to kill predatory game ( badger , fox , marten ). The upper part of the trap is weighted down with about 50 kg of stones. When the predatory game tries to grab the bait in the trap, the trap falls and kills the animal.

Since a wrong catch in violation of animal welfare cannot be ruled out due to the design, this type of trap is forbidden under German hunting law today.
