Scrubbing machine

Two scrubbing machines.

A scrubber drier , also called scrubber drier , floor cleaner or in Austria plastering machine , is a semi or fully automatic machine for cleaning floors. Automatic scrubber driers are available as walk-behind models for small to medium-sized areas, for example in supermarkets, and as ride-on models for large areas, such as in airports.

Layout and function

Automatic scrubber driers convey water with cleaning agent onto the floor surface , scrub this surface with a brush or roller and finally suck up all the water again with the help of the squeegee, which is usually attached to the back of the machine.

The machines are equipped with either a plate brush or a roller brush. The scrubber-driers have two tanks: one for the clean water that is used for cleaning and one for the dirty water that is picked up again during vacuuming.

Since the floor has to be cleaned with an automatic scrubber dryer, some machines are equipped with a broom that prevents dirt from getting under the brush while cleaning.
