FIVB World Tour 2015/16 women

The women's FIVB World Tour 2015/16 consisted of 18 beach volleyball tournaments, four of which were held as major , four as grand slam and ten as open . There was also the season finale in Toronto .

The tournament in Hamburg was the first major series tournament on German soil. It was also the last chance to qualify directly for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro via the FIVB world rankings . The German duo Katrin Holtwick / Ilka Semmler dropped out in Hamburg in the first knockout round and thus missed the Olympics. Her compatriots Karla Borger / Britta Büthe benefited from this and were now able to compete for Germany in Rio alongside the top German duo Laura Ludwig / Kira Walkenhorst . Ludwig / Walkenhorst won after two 2-1 victories over April Ross / Kerri Walsh in the semifinals and against Ágatha Bednarczuk / Bárbara Seixas in the final the tournament in Hamburg.
