Taiana de Souza Lima (born May 27, 1984 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player .

Career

Lima won the Junior World Championship in Catania in 2002 with Juliana Felisberta da Silva . The following year Lima / Juliana finished fifth at the same tournament in Saint-Quay-Portrieux . In 2004 Lima won the junior title again with Carolina Solberg Salgado in Porto Santo . A year later she completed her first open tournament on the FIVB World Tour in Milan . After Lima only appeared sporadically in the following years with various partners, she formed a new duo with Vivian Cunha in 2010 . Lima / Vivian won the Challenger tournament in Varna and reached the final of the Klagenfurt Grand Slam. Later they finished fourth in Åland . At the 2011 World Cup in Rome they prevailed in the preliminary round without losing a set before the German duos Holtwick / Semmler and Brink-Abeler / Green ; in the first knockout round they had to admit defeat to the US team Fendrick / Hanson . Later that year they finished fifth in Gstaad , third in Québec and seventh in Phuket . In 2012 they started with two ninth places in Brasília and Shanghai . This was the result of their last joint appearance in Klagenfurt. From 2013 to mid-2014 Lima played with Talita Antunes da Rocha . At the World Cup in Stare Jabłonki Talita / Lima reached the main round, where they were eliminated against the German Ludwig / Walkenhorst . After five tournament wins, Talita / Lima won the FIVB World Tour 2013 . Fernanda Berti was Alves Lima's new partner since July 2014 , with whom she won the second joint FIVB tournament in The Hague . In 2015, the Brazilians became vice world champions in the Netherlands . In 2016 Lima started again with her former partner Juliana Felisberta da Silva. In 2017 Elize Maia was her new partner. At the World Cup in Vienna , Lima and Elize Maia won their preliminary group and were only eliminated in the round of 16 against their compatriots Maria Antonelli / Carol . In 2018 Lima played alongside Carolina Horta Máximo . In 2019, Talita Antunes is her partner again.
