Carolina Horta Máximo (born August 20, 1992 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player .
Career
At the U21 World Championships in Halifax , Canada , Carol Máximo reached ninth place alongside Rebecca Cavalcanti Barbosa Silva in 2011 . Carol Máximo played with Claudinere Bento Sabino on the South America Tour in 2013/2014 . With her U23 partner Eduarda Santos Lisboa , she also played on the national tour in 2014/2015 and had two victories on the South American tour. In 2015, Carol Máximo played alongside Liliane Maestrini . The Brazilians achieved the best results on the FIVB World Tour 2015 with fifth place each at the Lucerne Open and the Moscow Grand Slam. They also reached third place at the Pan American Games in Toronto . In 2016 Carol Máximo played together with Ana Patrícia exclusively in South America. With Maria Antonelli , she achieved fourth place at the FIVB 3-star tournament in Xiamen in 2017 . With Juliana Felisberta da Silva she won the 1-star tournament in Monaco in the same year . In 2018 she played on the World Tour with Taiana Lima . The two Brazilians started very well with second place in the 5-star tournament in Fort Lauderdale , but only reached the second round in Espinho at the other 4 and 5-star tournaments . Since October, Carol Máximo has formed a new duo with Ângela Lavalle .
