Rebecca Cavalcanti Barbosa Silva (born April 23, 1993 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player .

Career

Rebecca Silva finished fourth at the U19 World Cup in Porto with Juliana Paula Simões in 2010 and ninth place in 2011 at the U21 World Cup in Halifax with Carolina Horta Máximo . In 2012, she became U21 World Champion with Drussyla Costa in Halifax . In 2013 she won two tournaments on the Continental Tour with Lili Maestrini . In 2014 and early 2015 Rebecca played again with Lili Maestrini, mainly on the national tour. The Brazilians also took third place at the Paraná Open . In 2016 Rebecca / Maestrini again reached third place at the Fortaleza Open .

Ana Patrícia has been Rebecca's partner since 2017 . Initially, the two Brazilians mainly competed in national tournaments, but since 2018 also on the World Tour . They won the 3-star tournament in Qinzhou and took second and fourth place in the 4-star tournaments in Yangzhou and Las Vegas . At the beginning of 2019, Rebecca won the 4-star tournaments in The Hague and Xiamen with Ana Patrícia . In the further course of the season, Rebecca / Ana Patrícia only had top ten placements and were nominated early for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo at the end of October .
