Jamie Lynn Broder (born June 8, 1985 in Victoria ) is a Canadian beach volleyball player .

Career

Broder took 29th place with Kristina Long at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Porto Santo . A year later, the duo rose to 19th place in the same competition in Rio de Janeiro . After Broder played a Challenger tournament in Cyprus with Maya Miguel in 2008, she competed with Elizabeth Cordonier for the first time at the Satellite in Vaduz in 2009 . In 2010 Broder / Cordonnier had their premiere at the Seoul Open on the FIVB World Tour . In Kristiansand and Phuket , they later came in 25th. In 2011 Broder played with Ashley Voth and also achieved a 25th place in Québec as the best result . At the last tournament of the season in Phuket she was on the court with her new partner Kristina Valjas . In 2012 Broder / Valjas played their first Grand Slam in Beijing . At the Open tournaments in Åland and Bang Saen they reached 17th place each. In 2013 they achieved a victory and a fifth place on the Continental Tour, before finishing ninth in the Fuzhou Open for the first time in the top ten on the World Tour. They also qualified for the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki . There they were eliminated after three defeats in the group games after the preliminary round. In 2015 they won the Fuzhou Open . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Broder / Valjas finished ninth. The two Canadians separated at the end of 2016.
