Bang Saen
Bang Saen ( Thai : บาง แสน ) is a seaside resort in Thailand in the Chonburi province in the immediate vicinity of the provincial capital of the same name. The small town is therefore southeast of Bangkok halfway from Pattaya on the Gulf of Siam .
Bang Saen is characterized by a spacious palm beach and beach promenade , mainly visited by the residents of the nearby metropolis Bangkok. In contrast to nearby Pattaya, the seaside resort plays practically no role for international tourism .
The beach is 2.5 km long.
The aquarium from the Institute for Marine Research at Burapha University is well worth a visit .

Regular events
A motorcycle meeting ( Bike Week ) takes place in Bang Saen every year at the end of October / beginning of November .
